The Garden Village
Nannup was given the name the garden village in 1998 and the shire has embraced this by building some gates at the entry to town. The Garden Village Committee was formed to see this vision of Nannup become a reality. The Garden Village has developed gardens at the Community House next door to the Visitors Centre and runs an annual Flower and Garden Festival.
Nannup has some great gardens, for many years Blythe Gardens was renowned for having the Guinness Book of records largest Tree Dahlia. These gardens are now closed and we will always remember David Blythe as one of our founding members.
Sue and Ray Moss were the main instigators behind the Garden Village now living in Perth you can still see their garden which has been restored and further developed by Michelle and Garry at Mossbrook.
Thanks must go to all the volunteers over the years that have helped the Garden Village come into reality.
