HOLBERRY HOUSE Grange Rd OPEN 7 Days
Protected by a canopy of river gums and deciduous trees, this woodland garden is set on 4 acres in the townsite, featuring tulips, camellias, rhododendrons, hellebores, bulbs and irises. A large pond, complete with waterfalls is home to many ducks and the winter creek meanders through the property.
Special Highlight… Navigate your way through the Pop Up Pallet Maze for a bit of fun! View works of West Australian artists as part of the Holberry Sculpture Walk, an outdoor exhibition with all works for sale. Sculpture sales. B&B accommodation. Entry $4 per person, Picnics welcome. TANJANERUP Balingup Rd (3kms on left) Open 27th and 28th of August 3rd-4th, 10-11th, 17-18th September (Closed long weekend)
This renovated homestead situated on the bend of the Blackwood River, has been in the family since 1907.The adjoining orchard with many citrus trees is almost as old. Tanjanerup is a working farm and produces baby beef. The garden is a child’s paradise with its great hidey places created by hedges and arches, forming distinct rooms. Camellias, magnolias, azaleas and a great variety of bulbs including tulips are a feature at this time of year as well as the family vegetable garden.

This is the place to see the magnificent Tulip and marvel at the many colours and types on display. The Greens have been growing tulips since the 1990’s. The field is planted with many varieties of tulips that grow long and strong in the Nannup climate. The Tulip Shed has Tulips bunches and pots for sale.

NANNUP LAVENDER Graphite Rd Open 10th and 11th and 24th to 26th of September
Situated on a hill with view of the Carlotta Valley, the garden is spread along a pathway leading to the tea rooms with garden rooms enticing you off the path. Plantings are a diverse range of exotic, native and deciduous trees and shrubs with loads of spring blossom bulbs and colourful annuals. Lavenders, Rosemary, wisteria, and rambling paths create a pretty cottage garden style display. Quirky sculptures and garden ornaments are dotted throughout. NB The lavender field is not in colour until December.
Plants for sale, Devonshire tea and soup available from tea rooms. Toilets, plenty of parking. Buses and groups welcome. Disabilty access (phone for details)

Event 11.00am both Saturdays: Tales of the Trees – a guided arboreal exploration
This garden of plants from contrasting hemispheres includes bulbs and local endemics, ranges from a sundew to the tallest of Australian wattles. It is back-dropped by the dramatic slopes where Post & Rail Gully has been channelled by Beyonderup Falls - which may be running into our dam! The garden surrounds what was the first rammed-earth house in the district so that a variety of wild birds, butterflies and other insects come close to feed and can be seen if you take the time to be still! The 100+ species of tree include a number of 35 year-old deciduous varieties.
Entry $5 (including Tea and Coffee) BYO picnic. $3.50 pp groups of 10+.

Merri Bee Organic Farmacy in Nannup is a 27 acre permaculture & ecosystem developed over the past 30 years. Stewart Seesink and Bee Winfield's passion is regenerating healthy top soil on their land which adjoins the Blackwood River. The farm was certified organic with NASAA for ten years and continues to comply with all organic standards. Entry $5 to Steve Marsh Benefit Fund
Please book in for a Sunday Guided Tour of the farm it provides much food for thought as well as tastings. Many people say when they taste the fruits of the farm “That’s the taste of my childhood!” Bee handmade the mud brick house 20 years ago from local and recycled materials. The land is full of nooks, crannies and lovely views, or as a permaculturalist would say “various micro climates”.
