What’s the festival all about?
There’s always a load of activities, visual delights and opportunities to learn, grow and simply be entertained during the Nannup Flower and Garden Festival.
The theme for 2019 is Plant It Forward, with a host of activities, talks and hands on presentations to inspire you to create joy, and inspire a love of gardens to echo for future generations !
In 2018, Nannup wholeheartedly welcomed gardening celebrity Costa Georgiadis – the man with the unmistakable beard, and most recognisable smile. We are looking forward to seeing him once again – Costa had many in fits of laughter with his entertaining antics across the festival – both adults and kids alike.
Costa’s message of sustainability, conservation, the environment, education, love, happiness, permaculture, and community is one that resonates with many gardeners. Joining Costa in 2019 is Millie Ross. Millie is a professional horticulturist, garden designer, writer and broadcaster, and a presenter for Gardening Australia
An innovative gardener with an unconventional approach, Millie is the author of The Thrifty Gardener; a practical guide to building the garden you want with whatever you’ve got, Millie aims to get everyone growing!
Ever popular gardening darling Deryn Thorpe and the guru Steve Wood will be back by popular demand, along with Chef Guy Jeffreys – who as always will be whipping up delicious meals with ingredients harvested straight from the garden.
As always, as well as a large range of free events, fascinating info sessions, an array of open gardens, and a host of market stalls, there is a range of limited access events hosted by our special guests – There are sure to be some awesome Q&As sessions in the Main Marquee!
Plus, as always, the magnificent displays of Tulips!
With plenty to do for the whole family, don’t miss the next Nannup Flower & Garden Festival Thursday, 15 August to Sunday, 18 August 2019.
To all our visitors, thank you for your continued support, from visiting the Town Hall, wandering through the Open Gardens, listening to a talk to meandering down the stalls or enjoying the High Tea. Your enthusiasm never wavers!
